Category: Getting to Know You
"Tis I, Lehto! I am new around here, and just blundering my way about. What to tell you about myself? I am a retired English professor. I taught literature at Louisburg College for thirty years and retired in 1998. I turned 75 in June and have been totally blind since 1948. I am in central NC, about thirty miles from Raleigh. I love swapping jokes, singing with other people, playing with my computer, and word games (among other things). Perhaps this is enough for now. Here's wishing a great day to all of you. Hang in there! Lehto
lehto,
I just wanted to say welcome to the zone. Your reply to my voice mail made me smile. You remind me of my grandpa who turned 75 in May. I will definitely remember to slow my ramblings down on voice mails. :)
Again welcome to the zone!
Hi Lehto:
Welcome to the Zone. Gets a bit strange around here sometimes, but all in all, This is a fun place to be. If you need help or have questions, just ask. You'll find a community of people willing and able to help.
Lou
English Professor Dr. Lehto,
Welcome aboard. smile
So you're a professor?
How lovely. {Feeling my heart sinking to my boots}
I enJOY writing,
Only umn well, I feel a bit intimidated,
By one of your high ranking stature to be in our presence.
A few of my writings are over in Writer's Block Forum.
Be prepared, for I follow no rules of proper writing.

Welcome aboard. If you can ajust to the oddness around here, you'll be fine. :) Hope you enjoy yourself
Welcome to the Zone. As has already been said, it's definitely a place of oddness, but there're some pretty cool people around here if you can find them. Here's hoping you enjoy it. And I agree with Pipi, except you remind me more of my great-uncle than my grandpa, as I said in your audio profile review thingy.
I wouldn't call the zone a nice friendly community, it's more like one big disfunctional screwed up family with a few worth wile relatives.
Welcome Lehto.
Jared may be on the right track, but even the messed-up families can still be a lot of fun!
Hope you don't find the place too odd, and also hope to talk to you around about,
Erin, from Aussie-land.
Hi people! Thanks for the warm welcome! I continue to blunder my way around the site and am having a ball! If you enjoy jokes, here's hoping you will sample my sense of humor (broad). I have submitted several items to the "One Liners" board of Graffiti. Thanks again for the welcome.
